Two hours of conversation with our guest, pieces presenting her artistic diversity. Echo Ho is a sound artist, musician, performer, media and radio play artist. Field recordings meets glitchy beats, electro polyphonic vocals mingle with unusual instrumental sounds in live performances, audiovisual compositions and spatial installations. Her Slow Qin is a post-digital reproduction of the traditional Chinese instrument Guqin. Through the combination of historical, traditional sounds and innovative elements Echo Ho creates a connection between the past and the present. In "Gesture of the Plant", her instruments are dead and dried plants from her garden, songs have been composed for these plants. Echo's work encourages reflection on cultural identity, musical traditions and the role of digital technologies.
